West End Jump
Yesterday I said in a discussion list that mash-ups are very easy to make, so obviously I was challenged to make one. :-)
Jump, the new Madonna single bears an uncanny resemblance to Pet Shop Boys’ West End Girls, so I guessed it would be very easy to put together a mash-up, even without using acapellas.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the resulting mess.
West End Jump (Pet Shop Boys + Madonna)
(FZero, Pet Shop Boys, Madonna | MP3 5.3Mb/VBR)
The source material was only the original versions of the songs, so this is not one of the best mash-ups out there. Anyway, it took only an hour to make, so I guess I made my point.

Pop perfeito. E genial, como tudo que é simples e certeiro. Até dei o link do G.Z. lá no meu blog ano passado, por causa desse mash-up. Continue.

Wow! I really admire this. As soon as I heard jump I started rapping the verses of WEG along. Actually, let’s be honest, Madge stole it! Her verses are the chorus of WEG and vice versa. It’s very clever and even in the same key. I would love to hear this mash up done properly as it would bring a whole new generation to that amazing song by PSB. Another great song of PSB iis Heart which they actually wrote for Madonna but were too shy to submit it to her! Bet they would have not been so shy if they knew she would end up nicking their stuff 20+ year later!! So is Ableton the best tool for beginning masher like me to get ideas down?
