Gerador Zero (DJ set), Voz del Fuego & Labtest @ Dama de Ferro, 24/nov

Vai rolar mais uma vez o Live Tonite no Dama de Ferro, dessa vez com a participação internacional do coletivo Labtest. Do release:

O Labtest é uma evolução do The Lab, um grupo que esteve por anos baseado em Praga, na República Tcheca. Os membros do Labtest são professores de novas mídias nos Estados Unidos, no Canadá e em Dubai e têm exibido internacionalmente seus trabalhos sempre focando na natureza dos diversos tipos de mídia e recombinando novos formatos culturais.(…) No Dama de Ferro o músico, VJ e DJ Stephen Dirkes, do labtest vai mostrar uma videomixagem de 40 minutos com imagens em DVD e som de breakbeat e electro. Em seguida ele toca ao vivo com o bateirista Lee Farber.

- E o seu set, FZero, o que vai ter? Anarquia total, geralmente com muitos breaks e várias coisas que não costumam tocar por aí. Como eu sou um péla, toco com notebook.

- Mas DJs de verdade só tocam com vinil!!! Eu não sou DJ. E você é um mané se acredita nisso.

I’m going to play once more at Dama de Ferro on the Live Tonite event, this time featuring Labtest, our international guests. From their site:

Labtest is an evolution of the LAB, a Prague based group of international artists and musicians. In creating a body of work concerned with the nature of media types, Labtest recombines new cultural forms from the dustbin of the 20th century.

Breakbeat, electro, live drums and video. Sounds like fun!

- And you FZero? What will your set be like? Total anarchy, with lots of breaks and tracks most DJs don’t play. As my DJing skills are a bad joke, I’ll play with my trusty notebook.

- But real Djs only spin vinyl!!! I’m not a DJ. And you are a moron if you still believe in this.
